The design most innovative and the romantic and 19th century atmospheres, l'contemporary minimalist elegance and the charm of French and British architecture of the neoclassical and imperial periods, the Western perspective combined with Far Eastern culture and tradition. All enhanced by the use of wood (teak), resin and aluminium.
This can be summarised asessence of Tectona, the company founded in 1977, in Italy since 2013 with a showroom in Milan, which has made refinement, sustainability, durability and craftsmanship the strong points through which it has conquered the French market.
The production logic of Tectona conforms to the more classical techniques ofcabinetmaking in which logs cut into whole sections are to be used to make unique pieces.
This type of workmanship guarantees extreme durability to furniture that has the ambition to stand the test of time and be handed down from generation to generation.
Creating objects that last over the years is also Tectona's way of expressing its respect for its customers, a sentiment that deeply characterises the company's philosophy as a whole. 'Restoring instead of throwing away'.

This is in fact the approach of Tectona's after-sales service, oriented towards repairing furniture rather than replacing it. Research and intervention laboratory is the Normandy site, where the wood and aluminium outdoor showers of the brand and reintroduced, for example, the famous Roma umbrellas inspired by the street vendors selling fruit and vegetables on the streets of the Italian capital.
The creative key to Tectona is based on 19th century aesthetics reinterpreted in a modern key by the most important and talented contemporary designers such as Pierre Charpin, Constance Guisset, Christophe Delcourt, Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec, BIG-GAME.
Tectona turns 45 and gets a makeover. The 2022 catalogue presents an evocative and romantic four-poster bed that enriches the famous 1800 collection, a new modular sofa and a coffee table in two sizes from the Chelsea series, chromatically revisited also in black, a brand new wooden table with a dynamic and modern shape
oval that adorns the Exeter collection and finally the Shanghai collection of designer Christophe Delcourt with a new resin fibre.
In 2022, it expands its product range: it adds a new modular sofa and a table in two sizes in the Chelsea collection, which has also been chromatically reworked in black; it enriches the famous 1800 collection with a romantic four-poster bed; it offers a new wooden table with a dynamic, modern oval shape in the Exeter collection; and finally, it offers the Shanghai collection with a new resin fibre.
Tectona brings in dowry from 2021 lOutdoor furniture of prestigious historic French hotels that have just been restored and reopened to the public. In Italy to have terraces decorated with the transalpine brand are the hotels St. Regis of Venice and Tornabuoni of Florence. 2022 also sees the renewal of a long and successful tradition linking the French brand with cultural institutions. The MUDAC (Musée de Design et d'Arts Appliqués Contemporains) and the MEL (Musée de l'Elysée) in Lausanne will welcome visitors with benches signed Tectona.

THE NEW FOUR-POSTER BED FROM THE 1800 COLLECTION
The Frenchwoman Madeline Castaing, particularly between the two world wars, is well known as a patron of painters such as Amadeo Modigliani and Chaïm Soutine and as an interior decorator. She was responsible for the famous wrought iron bench inspired by the French neoclassical furniture in vogue during the Directoire period (1795-1799). The 1800 collection celebrates her by harking back to the style of the period in a contemporary key with a rigorous design tempered by curved lines and the pattern of buttons marking the intersections and junctions between the various aluminium elements. These are also the characteristics of the new four-poster bed, suitable for reading, conversing and sleeping in absolute comfort thanks to its dimensions (2 m x 1.70 m), the two independent reclining backrests and the curtains that, once drawn, ensure total privacy. Made of thermo-lacquered aluminium, with perfectly invisible assembly systems, the new canopy bed is offered in blue-grey, a colour with soft and relaxing tones.

THE NEW CHELSEA COLLECTION, NOW ALSO IN BLACK
The Chelsea collection is the brainchild of designer Constance Guisset. Tectona re-proposes it in black, adding a new modular sofa that can be used either in a classic form or inserted into more intimate corner spaces. In thermo-lacquered aluminium, it has a fluid and continuous line.
The series is completed with two new low tables in different sizes with aluminium legs topped with a teak top.

Established in 2003, the Exeter line is continuously being enriched by new models. Its modular sofa offers great freedom in the composition of space according to needs and preferences.
To complete the Tectona garden salon offers a new coffee table with an innovative and dynamic ovoid shape of the table top. The French brand's know-how is demonstrated by the consistent thickness of the teak sections and the width of the feet, which are made in one piece.

THE NEW SHANGHAI COLLECTION FIBRE
In Christophe Delcourt's Shanghai series, created in 2013, straight and curved lines perfectly combine classic and contemporary, design and craftsmanship, Western aesthetic taste and the tradition of Far Eastern furniture culture. The new resin fibre renews a collection characterised by elegance, comfort and practicality.
Tectona believes deeply in the concept of sustainability. It puts its convictions into practice by using natural, recyclable or recycled materials. The FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) label, affixed to most of its furniture, certifies that the wood used for the individual product comes from forests where environmentally sound management of raw materials is practised.

tectona design lifestyle'IMPERIAL TEAK'
The feet of his benches or the furniture of the Argos collection are also stamped 'Imperial Teck'. This is what is applied to teak made from the trunks of the oldest trees, those in which over the years the wood grain becomes exceptionally dense and the resin oil that protects the fibre reaches a very high concentration.
Two physical conditions that guarantee extraordinary durability of the material and incredible resistance to weathering.
