In the rooms, in the lobby, on the stairs, in the rooms, in the bar and even in the cellar, especially in the bathrooms, it is the more than 50,000 books that enliven this place and form the beating heart and attraction par excellence of the Literary Man Hotel.
We are at Obidosa hundred or so kilometres north of Lisbon, and the idea was realised in 2015 by a group of entrepreneurs who wanted to propose a space dedicated to welcoming tourists, but at the same time something more than just a place to pass through, and one that would leave its mark on all guests.
The Literary Man Hotel It is located in what used to be an old convent, which has since been renovated, and within which all spaces and rooms have been designed to accommodate books salvaged from all over the place, so that anyone can find texts written in their mother tongue.

The hotel's wine cellar therefore has not only excellent wines, but also volumes, so that you can enjoy the nectar of Bacchus in the company of the world's greatest authors in a unique experience, as well as enjoy a relaxing massage. What can we say, then, about the possibility of a vintage bike tour to the sea, where you can enjoy a literary dinner complete with performances by actors reading significant passages from some of the books housed in the hotel? The well-being of guests is all-round, without forgetting the design and beauty factor: at the Literary Man Hotel the rooms are the result of the creativity of leading interior architects
Novels, poems, fantasy books, detective stories, horror, thrillers: the stories are endless and all to be enjoyed in a truly relaxing environment that stimulates the imagination, in search of adventures with the characters hidden in the hundreds of thousands of pages that adorn and enrich this place.
And for those who want to enjoy excellent drinks, the Literary Gin Bar is the place to be: this is where cocktails are served based on literary preferences.
