ARTIS at Fuori Salone 2023 with FREE.DOM: the pro-museum exhibition based on an idea by Simone Micheli

From 17 to 26 April 2023, Milan is rekindled with the Fuori Salonethe event that awakens the creative spirit of Milan's bustling capital city.
Milan, a beautiful and grey city, hectic and fascinating, difficult but welcoming: here, the Fuori Salone exhibition space is a real invitation to slow down, to keep stress at bay, to reconnect with oneself, to get excited.
With the enthusiasm and desire to establish itself in the world of design, the Brescia-based company ARTIS will participate in the Fuorisalone 2023 as a partner of Simone MicheliItalian architect and designer, and teacher of Italian Design InstituteBrescia tapware will be present in the context of Design Re-volution, the initiative curated by Interni.
Conceived by Micheli and realised in the Cortile dei Bagni of the University of Milan, the installation FREE.DOMconsisting of 120 metres of wire and metal tubing, simulates three large cages with wide meshes as metaphors for attitudes in life: being free from convention is a matter of choice.
Who knows Simone Micheli knows his ability to always be a strong promoter of his own ideas and to involve companies in his design process that experience new interpretative possibilities thanks to his work. The roots of his project lie in
on ground that has been repeatedly explored: FREE.DOM is a veritable manifesto for freedom whose message, in a nutshell, is that only those who really want to break out of stereotyped paths, system crises, content deadlocks, banality and conservatism, can do so!
Others, although they have the possibility of flying, freeing themselves and evolving, prefer to remain in static waiting.
In FREE.DOM, two cages will house a stylised bird, the third will be empty with the bird already in flight next to it, symbolising the importance of personal choice in order to succeed in redeeming oneself from the meshes of the system.
