When one speaks of western Liguria, before the sea come to mind the wonderful flowers of the Rivieraespecially from the province of Imperia, the flowers of Sanremo.
Since the beginning of the 20th century, thanks to favourable climatic conditions, it has been possible to grow carnations all year round, followed later by roses, which, however, bloom in spring. There was a shortage of winter flowers and so many rose producers turned to buttercups and anemones, today the flowers par excellence that bloom from January to March.
This was also the case for the Biancheri familywhen Antonio, with great intuition, started importing bulbs of buttercups and anemones from abroad and offered them on the Ligurian market. In the 1980s, exactly 40 years ago, his son Alberto joined him in the company and with equal intuition began researching and experimenting with new varieties of buttercups and anemones.
Thus was born, in Camporosso, the Biancheri Creationstoday the world leader in the production and sale of bulbsproduced in the company's 24 hectares of greenhouses and land between Liguria and Sicily, from which many varieties of these wonderful flowers.
Through constant research in their own laboratories, with the aim of implementing varietal genetic improvement and through techniques for in vitro multiplication, Biancheri creates and clones its own varieties to implement its lines all protected by patents that allow full traceability.
The new technologies developed by Biancheri Creations arrive at creating a flower, standardised in terms of variety, colour identity, shades, formal richness of the corolla, quality and size, as the in vitro propagation technique allows for a high multiplication of plants that are genetically identical to the starting selections.
The offer of new varieties is always high, every year new creations are added to enrich the Clones Success®, Clones Pon Pon®, Elegance® lines of buttercups, the Mistral® and Mistral Plus® lines of anemones and a Hummingbirds® line of poppies.

The attention of Biancheri Creations innovation allows them to anticipate changes and offer the Italian and foreign floriculture market new ideas and scenarios. In 2016 their buttercup Pon Pon® Malva won in the cut flower category the prestigious Glazen Tulpannual prize organised by FloraHolland. Their hashtag #liveinflower is the epitome of what these 'flower designers' have been doing for 40 years, giving life to new flowers, living among the holes.
