The idea is innovative, indeed revolutionary. Exploiting all available space, even where there is none, within a house, a hotel, an office or any other type of environment thanks to an ingenious concealed furnishing system, 100% Made in Italy, capable of recreating environments that change over the course of the day and furniture that transforms to enlarge, multiply, compose and conceal spaces, achieving maximum comfort.
The intuition of Protek®, an Italian company specialising in the design and manufacture of counterframes and systems for sliding doors and windows, which has created Bigfoot®a patented, globally unique, state-of-the-art system that exploits the structural elements of separation and transition zones within buildings to offer novel solutions both aesthetically and functionally, combining design, creativity and innovation.
The new format is destined to become increasingly commonplace in newly built homes. These are furnishing complements integrated into walls, or applied adjacent to existing walls, which appear and disappear within rooms according to the needs dictated by lifestyles and times of day. From more traditional and practical elements such as shoe racks, bookcases, tables, beds, pantries, coats, closets, up to more 'smart' applications with bar furniture, fitness or entertainment elements. Solutions suitable for residential but also for contract, hotel, nautical and many other areas where the wall is no longer just a wall, but becomes a piece of furniture you never imagined you had, fully customisable to suit your specific needs.
The Bigfoot® system is available in two versions Architectural, which can be integrated into the wall when designing and renovating the house, and Interior, which can be simply fixed to the wall by means of a simple wall fastener, requiring no special building work.
Both versions also do not require planning permission, further speeding up and simplifying installation.
The system consists of a counterframe made entirely of aluminium, with a rigid yet lightweight structure, specially designed to accommodate the Bigfoot® container module. The subframe can be integrated directly into the wall, so as to exploit all available space and become the new wall itself, or it can be installed directly on the wall, without the need for floor fixings and with a very simple installation. It is suitable for plasterboard cladding as well as rigid panels such as boiserie, marble, ceramic, MDF, to fit perfectly with the furniture already present in the room.
The Bigfoot® module is the concealed furnishing complement that fits into the counterframe, exploiting the space inside. It is available in different finishes and colours, as well as with a wide range of accessories to fully meet the different interior customisation needs.
The latest, Bigfoot®️ My Office, was designed by Protek in response to new needs that emerged during the Covid emergency. Working 'forced' in one's own home has in fact highlighted how most of today's homes are not compatible with the work needs of having a private and dedicated space where one can concentrate, have meetings and connect remotely. The new smartworking module allows all this. In fact, it is equipped with everything you need to set up a workstation with a desk-table, compartments for document holders, and electrical sockets to connect your PC and other devices you may need while working.
