A interior design which sees the use of simple materials but characterised by a strong personality, such as wood, stone and burnished sheet metal. The result is a chalet with a refined style, combining comfort and elegance.
Milan, September 2019 - The setting is the beautiful Lombardy mountains, namely the Orobie Alps in Valtellina. The location is the penthouse of a chalet of new construction, to be transformed to meet the needs of the client, a family from Milan looking for an exclusive space that is both a weekend and holiday retreat and that does not give up the typical comforts of the city: liveable space, also for possible guests, with two bedrooms and two bathrooms.
The project conceived byArchitect Tortatosupported by the team of his studio, saw a complete redesign of the available space within the 80 square metre penthouse.
The original floor plan was completely revised and modified to make the most of the cubage.
"Our idea," explains architect Tortato, "was to create a mezzanine of about 20 square metres above the bathrooms, with glass dividing the space into two parts: the first usable by the children and the second open to the living area. A sort of tree house accessed by a ladder".
The result is an elegant and sophisticated, yet simple and intimate environment that can be used all year round for family intimacy or with friends.
