This is confirmed by the proposals of Okida (Okida Elektronik Sanayi Limited Şirket), a Turkish brand acquired by the Italian multinational Sabafone of the world's leading manufacturers of household appliance components, suggesting solutions to optimise time and improve safety. From oven to hood, the possibilities are manifold.
For ovens, for example, Okida offers technological timers that allow not only control of the main functions (time, duration and end of cooking) in a 'normal' way (with LCD, LED or TFT display, with mechanical buttons or with touch systems) but also through Bluetooth and/or Wifi systems that ensure not only remote control of the oven but also the possibility of updating its software. Other more sophisticated models have the possibility of using a temperature sensor in the centre of the food (meat probe), which is really handy for cooking to perfection. From an aesthetic point of view, they are customisable in terms of function icons, background colours, manufacturer's logo and can even contain an ad hoc recipe book. As a result, even the hood becomes interconnected. Thanks to electronic control systems and Bluetooth or Wi-Fi technology for remote management, interaction with other household appliances is guaranteed by adjusting different hood functions such as power, lights, etc. Making the various appliances communicate not only improves efficiency but also the safety of the kitchen space, which is confirmed as a perennial research laboratory for anticipating future trends and lifestyles.
