Digital Design Days 2026 a Milano: conferenza di digital design con speaker sul palco e pubblico in sala

The appointment with the Digital Design Days (DDD), the international festival dedicated to digital design and innovation founded by the designer Filippo Spiezia in 2016. These days were born as an appointment for the creative community and today present themselves as a live experience that brings together thousands of professionals, keynote speakers and brands, with a focus on curated content and networking. An event that has long since crossed national borders, appreciated also by personalities such as Burton Rast, historic ux designer at Google.

The 2026 edition in Milan will also mark the celebration of its tenth anniversary and will aim to offer concrete answers on AI and the world beyond, i.e. how artificial intelligence is already changing creativity, design, production and business. All told by those who are experiencing these transformations at the forefront and are the architects of them.

A step back: what the 2025 edition told us

Before looking ahead to 2026, it is worth stating one fact: in 2025 DDD also brought the format to Sicily with DDDx Palermo, recording over 1,000 attendances over two days at the Cantieri Culturali alla Zisa. According to the report, 60% of the participants came from abroad and around 300 people took part in the workshops, with a mix of talks, installations and topics such as AI, storytelling, augmented reality and new digital frontiers.

Among others, big names were present such as David Carson, icon of graphic design, Guido Callegari (Runway) and Ash Thorp, motion design artist and creator of the Batmobile in the 2022 film The Batman.

Programme and topics: beyond AI, between experience and concreteness

DDDs 2026 are planned 7 to 9 May 2026 and will be held at Superstudio Village, in the Bovisa area, in a new 8,000 m² high-tech location with LEED Platinum certification and spaces designed for stages, installations and expos. Conceived as a three-day experience that will alternate inspiration and practical tools, the format will revolve around several stages in parallel, with a wide-ranging line-up of speakers and speeches ranging from design to production to the business decisions that determine the success of a digital project today.

At the centre, as mentioned, is artificial intelligence: not just news and trends, but use cases, workflows and reflections on how AI, creativity and technology are already rewriting processes in agencies and internal brand teams. The idea is to bring to the stage those who are driving these transformations, so as to come out with a replicable approach in everyday work. This is where the vision of founder Filippo Spiezia, who has always intended to challenge the status quo with an interdisciplinary approach, mixing art and technology for immersive, human-centred experiences, fits in well. Spiezia has also emphasised in the past the double face of AI: it accelerates prototyping and insight, but can flattening creativity by relying too much on algorithms. The point, therefore, is the balance between efficiency and the “human touch”.

In the programme, this translates into a constellation of topics: UX/UI/CX, immersive experiences (AR/VR/MR), motion and 3D/VFX, creative coding, storytelling, branding and strategy. And then the more “take-home” part, i.e. workshops and face-to-face moments, with a context that also aims to create collaborations and B2B opportunities.

The full programme is still being finalised, but tickets for the 2026 edition are already available for purchase via official website and resale channels.
