A mixture that is synergy between art and design, an attention to detail in the constant search for harmony between forms: this is the poetic style of Elena Salmistraropoured into his recent project Dornette, a collection of decorative wall tiles made of fine ceramics that succeed in the difficult task of hybridising tradition and modernity. The work of the Milanese designer and artist is a tribute to the infinite forms of nature, with bio-mimetic results, in an unprecedented cross between organic life and technology. All the elements are designed to give a luxury touch to walls intended for residential as well as hospitality spaces. Canyon e Cocoa are the first designs in the collection, characterised by a bursting three-dimensionality.
Canyon expresses a more geometric formal language, with engravings reminiscent of geological stratifications, a kind of Grand Canyon in miniature.
