There is a new form of camping which is spreading very rapidly all over the world: it is the glamping.
From the fusion of glamour and camping comes this new type of five-star campsite that allows you to immerse yourself in nature without leaving the comfort.
More and more of these structures are being built, regardless of type, with the utmost respect for the environment and with a focus on customer comfort. From stilts to igloos, from houseboats to mobile homes, from glass containers to wooden and fabric tents. Various types of structures and an experience suitable for all age groups. travellersboth couples and families.
But the glamping are not only a way to combine comfort and nature, they are also wonderful examples of modern, international design and architecture. In Australia we find the Freycinet Lodge in the National Park of the same name, consisting of nine pavilions inspired by typical Tasmanian rocks, and the 16 Longitude 131° tents in the desert near Ayers Rock, including a starred restaurant, suites furnished as flats, terraces with circular pools and barbecues; in France, in Marseille, there is Attrap'Rêves with five-star rooms contained in transparent bubbles inside a forest, equipped with a Jacuzzi and telescope to explore the night sky; in Korea, in Seoul, the SJCC Glamping Resort has fifteen dwellings in marquees of 50 square metres each, built on artificial terraces in the middle of a cypress forest (Atelier Chang).

Inspired by local dwellings is the Z9 resort on Lake Srinakarin at Thailandwith bungalows on floating rafts inspired by traditional houses and floating markets. Among the most unusual are the suites of the White Desert Camp in the ice of the South Pole. Nine zero-impact fibreglass igloos, powered by solar energy. Six of the nine capsules measure 30 square metres and inside are equipped like luxury hotel rooms. The other three, measuring 45 square metres, house the communal facilities (dining room, kitchen, lounge and reception).
The steady growth of this new type of holiday facility is also evidenced by the presence of a dedicated area for the 'glamping" at the Milan Design Week.
