The collection Nextsigned by Deanna Comellini, presents a new model, Next23, exhibited at Milan Design Week 2018: a carpet in which the exaltation of form follows a passionate search for new geometries. One of the special features of Next 23 is the possibility of customising the size up to 4 metres wide. The technique used makes it possible to create products to cover even larger floors than the two versions already available (190×200 and 380×400 cm).
GT Design is protagonist at the Fuorisalone with the installation UltraNative, the origin of a contemporary signwhich includes this new type of shape, the result of the ongoing research on contemporary carpets carried out by the brand of Deanna Comellini e Michele Preti.
Research that explores established techniques, such as the use of yarns and novel processes, reflection on natural fibres or the hand-painting technique, while converging on more innovative techniques such as digital printing.
Next23 and digital printing
It is precisely this latter process that characterises Next23with the art director's quest to break out of the ordinary, breaking down shapes and colours in order to create a pattern freely interpretable by each user. The Next 23 collection is based on the digitally printed carpet and is customisable, thus putting it at the service of the interior designer.
The polyamide yarns on which the print is applied are guaranteed and certified according to international standards. The company's craftsmanship enhances the imperfection and vitality of the objects. GT Design constantly experiments with new methods and textile fibres, all derived from natural materials such as linen, coconut, viscose, bamboo, pure wool, hemp and silk.
