Autumn-winter 2017 translates the concepts of practicality and style with the new Guston Bag collection signed Issey Miyake.
Guston Bag - A piece of cloth
The newborn Tote model for 'A piece of cloth' brings to the stage a bag made from a single piece of leather; colours are applied in layers and laminated to create small irregularities between the thickest and thinnest parts. The Tote bag is an example of bag design flair and ingenuity: reversible and completely different on both sides, geometric on one side and monochrome on the other. A perfect harmony between colour declinations, practicality of the accessory and a versatile, youthful style capable of accompanying and enhancing every expression of personal style.
The concept, always dear to Issey Miyake, is expressed in the creation of the Guston bag from a single piece of leather. The name Guston is in fact the fusion of the three words: 'GUided STructure ONe piece'. Guided by the laminated prints of overlapping colours, the structure changes depending on the workmanship of the single piece of leather.
Among the proposals of the AW17 collection also shoulder bags, wallets and coin purses with zip fasteners, presented in bright colours.
