A modern kitchen with worktops, an original dark and cramped room transformed into an open and bright room that can meet all living requirements.
We are in London, in the Stoke Newingtonwhere this charming Victorian-style mansion stands. And it is here that the architectural firm Material Works took care of the extension of this house.
The careful study of the environment made it possible to include both a kitchen island characterised by a worktop in HI-MACS®and a large dining table, adding a skylight to the existing structure, which made it possible to "open up" the wall and thus increase the space, accessible from the outside thanks to a large glass door.
The strong polished concrete floor was counterbalanced by the use of natural oak beams to support the skylight and create the kitchen extension.
The handleless kitchen is completed with worktops in HI-MACS® Ivory Whitechosen for their ease of cleaning and elegant finish. HI-MACS® is the perfect Solid Surface for worktops, thanks to its non-porousness and the absence of visible joints, which prevent the formation and proliferation of germs and bacteria. Like worktops,
even the kitchen splash guards were made in the Solid Surface HI-MACS®.

From icy London we fly to Morocco, in the Les Olivades Marrakech resortlocated just a few kilometres from the Moroccan capital. Set in a six-hectare estate among orange and olive trees, the resort combines contemporary style and modern luxury.
The villa consists of five bedrooms, all with en-suite bathrooms, indoor and outdoor kitchens, although the jewel in the crown of this architecture is the exterior framed by the beautiful High Atlas Mountains.
Here, HI-MACS® has been widely used for both indoor and outdoor spaces. From washbasins to bathroom worktops, from bed heads to office areas, and then again for kitchens, for some furnishings and even for the artworks, which act as a fil rouge between the indoor and outdoor areas of the resort, such as for the tables sheltered by the patio, the sun loungers in the water positioned in a shallow area of the large swimming pool, the edges and drainage of the same, and the sculptures.
The resulting effect is of an evocative, soothingly luminous white set amidst expanses of green, inviting one to walk barefoot on the grass, where fascinating works of art emerge, such as sculptures depicting vine shoots or cubist structures that seem to float in space and become one with a large olive tree, creating a dialogue between sculptural art and nature.
Adjacent to the main terrace, the large swimming pool offers the same minimalist style as the interior without ever sacrificing comfort. If the Moroccan heat becomes too intense, just a few steps further on, it is possible to shelter from the sun under a slatted pergola, furnished with armchairs and large outdoor sofas.
