A path in the 'Isla Blanca' the third wonderful island of the Balearic Islands572 square kilometres on 210 kilometres of beaches. Ibiza: much more than an entertainment destination, an undiscovered jewel of a place, magical and surprising, where relaxation on beautiful beaches with clear waters meets food, markets, boat parties, discos. But that's not all.
The island is like a basket full of many varieties of events, a reminder of nature, a place of hippie community where time seems to stand still at beat generation and where everything can be shared starting with shopping in the colourful and quaint markets, now magical places of worship where love and peace echo the mood of the whole island.
A journey senses where nothing happens by chance, not even the sunset, worshipped by hundreds of admirers who, to the rhythm of the Café del Mar They watch the sun disappear over the horizon, savouring every moment until the final emotional applause. Design, Architecture and elegant structures peep into the playa. Wonderful coves such as Cala d'Hort presided over by the islet of Es Vedrà, Platges de Comte, Pou des Lleó, Platja d'en Bossa, Es Figueral.
Protected natural areas Ses Salinas and Es Cavallet and Posidonia Oceanica recognised by Unesco as World Heritage Site.
On the one hand in the island's capital and on the other in Sant Antoni de Portmany, Numerous discotheques and clubs where fun rises to pure cult status and nothing is given to chance, international artists compete for gigs, with marvellous shows ready to surprise with their ability to show that fun is not only music and dance but also art with messages that have much to do with freedom and the right to transgression seen as play within an extraordinary merry-go-round that is basically life itself.
La Heart disco allowed Design Lifestyle to photograph the extravagant, colourful, unforgettable performances of the charismatic Baby Marcelo amazing international artist who performs evenings that go beyond the show to touch on forms of art, transformism and irony à la Lindsay Kemp.
All this, and much more, is Ibiza, in a photographic journey by Raffaella Fasano.
