Milan, Vine and Zero: these are the collections signed respectively by the Studio SBGA | Blengini Ghirardelli, Frank Jiang and Andrea Boniniand have interpreted in a modern and innovative way the tradition and quality that make Turri the ambassador of Italian luxury in the world.
La dining area is the place of conviviality par excellence and Turri presents it to us in three proposals, all made with fine materials and craftsmanship.
Milan: the grit of industrial.
Contemporary in style, the Milan tables, chairs, sideboards and display cabinets evoke the gritty, 'industrial' character of the city from which they are inspired. The sinuous line of the metal structure is a recurring fil rouge in all the furnishing elements, supporting and enveloping now the rectangular table top, now the shell of the cosy and comfortable seats, now the storage units. Lightness, a distinctive feature of the collection, is also evident in the 'transparency' of the display cabinets, whose linear design is reduced to the essential. The furniture is embellished not only by the careful workmanship, but also by the choice of materials, particularly leather, which creates a warm contrast with the colder metal.
Vine: all the elegance of wood.
Modern and articulate is the Vine collection, the woodwork of which is striking, inspired by the branching of vine shoots. The 'sculpture' table is in fact characterised by the originality of the design of the base, made of wood, enriched with brushed gold metal bands and marble inserts. In an interplay of solids and voids, the chairs surrounding the table are soft and enveloping, with backrest and armrests joined in a single solution that has been crafted in every detail. Again, the showcase becomes a symbolic element of the project: the tubular wooden structure for the base, the metal details, present on all the furniture, the leather ones, and the smoked glass doors, ideal for giving a more contemporary touch to the environment.
Zero: all mad about minimal.
The Zero collection is designed with minimalism and formal cleanliness in mind. In the large table, the top is supported by two leather-covered 'wings', but apart from the metal inserts there is no superfluous decorative element. The chairs, with their rigorous design, involve careful workmanship, especially on the backrest, where a flap of upholstery joins the various elements of the structure; the showcase, with its metal base and curved glass doors, once again creates a contrast between the lightness of these elements and the preciousness of marble and leather.
