A suggestive dichotomy, that of black and white, brought to life in the new collection by Catellani & Smith.
The simplicity of the design of the individual elements and their technical and technological innovations, folding flexes, joints and magnets: these are the features of Vi.., CicloItalia Flex and U.which transform thelighting in a 'flexible' and completely personal concept.
The inspiration comes from the past, specifically from two historical models from the Timeless Objects collection. A glance at the past and the approach of someone who wants to experiment.

nuova-collezione-catellani-smith-design-lifestyle-3Vi. is defined by two rods branching upwards, and is available in floor and wall versions, both featuring an 'independent' semi-cylindrical screen, rotatable through 360°, which fits at the top of the two rods thanks to the presence of magnets. CicloItalia Flex, on the other hand, includes both the ceiling variant C6, with flexes that develop from a cylindrical base to unfold in a 'dance' suspended in the air, and the floor model F3, consisting of three rods from which extend three brass flexes and metal spotlights.
The family also includes wall-mounted versions CicloItalia Flex W1 and W2. The first, designed as a bedside lamp, with articulated flex, lantern and on/off button; the second with double flex and double lantern.

nuova-collezione-catellani-smith-design-lifestyle-1U. is a lamp characterised by an essential design and includes floor versions U. F Up and U. F Flexand those from wall U. W Flex and U. W with a low-voltage COB LED light source. At the centre of its semi-cylindrical screen, U. F Up houses the silhouette of a dancing figure. Equipped with a magnet at the base, the silhouette can be positioned at will on the metal plate within the screen.
With a smaller screen than the Up, U. F Flex is equipped with a brass hose to direct the light in the desired direction, as well as in the U. W Flex wall-mounted version. Finally, also with wall installation, the U. W model features a joint that allows the semi-cylindrical screen to rotate, drawing a beam of light onto the wall.
