ADAL, the Japanese brand that has established itself in the furniture design, founded in 1953, is today one of the largest in the industry contract in Japanis currently expanding in China, thanks to a product catalogue that combines traditional motifs with avant-garde solutions, in an ongoing search for ever more tailor-made.
The idea is to give life to a repertoire of products in strong consonance with the natural environment, from which it draws stimulus both in the shapes, taking up for example the motifs of waterfalls and caves or trying to reproduce the feeling of silence of the mountains, and in the components, with the material as the protagonist traditional igusamainly associated, since the 16th century, with the creation of the tatami.
Igusa, a variety of reed cultivated in the rice fields, woven and then dried, is the fil rouge of the collection where all its versatility and beauty is emphasised by experimenting with new possibilities of use, together with a surprising colour palette.
The collection consists of five pieces, a range of lounge chairs, benches, sofas, side tables and multi-purpose modular panels defined by geometric lines and theelegant minimalism. The result is a line of versatile pieces, also suitable outdoorsmainly made in igusa interspersed with the use of wood and, to a small extent, steel.
