It is called Ula and is the new seat with original aesthetics, designed by Serena Confalonieri for the colourful and imaginative universe of MY Home collection. Minimal geometries and 'thin' volumes characterise the seat, which is very versatile in its lightness and can fit into any contemporary living environment.
The lacquered tubular steel designs the backrest and the curves of the armrests that bend towards the ground to become the front legs, giving great lightness to the chair that is almost suspended.
The padding is made of polyurethane rubber and the lining of polyester fibre, while the back - which rests gently against the structure - as well as the seat, are covered in single or two-tone fabrics.
The result is truly impressive, with fun colour combinations that create a striking eye-catcher.
An interesting interplay of solids and voids also characterises the armchair Babawhich was already received with great public acclaim at the last edition of the Salone del Mobile. Here, too, the play of contrasts dominates, where the volumes between the seat and the 'roller' backrest alternate with the voids that also draw subtle and sinuous cosy shapes.
