Nat-2 x Zvunder design lifestyle

A product 100% cruelty free: the new shoes Nat-2 x Zvunder are made from imitation leather derived from mushrooms and other environmentally sustainable materials. A 'vegan' shoe, so to speak, designed in Berlin but made in Italy by designer Nina Fabert (creator of the Zvnder brand) with the help of the technical team of Nat-2.

These trainers have as their main product the Fomes Fomentariusbetter known as the Bait fungus, a non-edible species belonging to the Polyporaceae family, which grows on the trunks of deciduous trees. The mushroom has also often been used in cosmetics and food supplements as a remedy for atopic dermatitis and to strengthen the immune system.
An eco-cotton sponge, a cloth made from recycled plastic bottles, cork for the insole and natural rubber for the sole complete this new shoe model.

Once grown and stripped, the Bait fungus is worked by hand. Its use is made interesting by its ability to take on different shades of colour, which can be used for various shoe models. The final product is a casual trainer that has nothing to envy a traditional shoe made of real leather.

The circular economy by Zvnder

With this same ecological leather Zvnder also produces other products, such as hats, handbags, gloves, watch straps and wallets. In fact, the company is not new to using vegan products, since it produced pulp-based shoes in 2016.
It has not yet been announced when and at what price these vegan trainers will be marketed.
