After the success of the preview at Milan Design Week 2025, Listone Giordano, the reference brand in high-end wood flooring, officially presents to the market Nui, the new creation signed by Piero Lissoni. A collection that becomes part of the catalogue Natural Genius and is distinguished by the ingenious simplicity of its concept, inspired by the ancient Japanese art of Sashimono.
An introspective journey between minimalism and the Orient
“Nui”, from the Japanese word for “sew”, perfectly expresses the soul of this wooden floor, which reflects on the theme of connections through a minimal and refined sign. The reference is to Japanese culture and, in particular, to the Sashimono, the ancient technique of dry wooden joints whose literal meaning is “things joined together”.
The distinguishing feature of the collection is the “seam”: a discreet yet powerful aesthetic element, capable of evoking the craftsmanship of the shipwrights of the past. Piero Lissoni's light touch transforms simplicity into an absolute value, giving life to a surface that transcends fashion and imposes itself as a timeless decorative solution. A sign that does not tire, but seduces with elegance, transmitting peace and harmony.
The word from the designer
“This project was born out of the idea of the beauty and dignity of these large wooden planks that remind you of what they used to be, namely trees,” says Piero Lissoni. "I thought of this carpenter's joint, as if these trees that I lay on the floor became furniture.
An approach that returns centrality to the material and its memory, enhancing wood as a living, narrative element.

Technical details and installation
The collection Nui is available in two versions, designed to generate different aesthetic patterns:
- Nui 01, head-to-tail interlocking creates an elegant pattern of aligned heads.
- Nui 02, head-to-head interlocking creates a refined pattern of staggered aligned heads.
Both versions are available in 140×1200 mm e 190×1500 mm, in Oak Civita - the signature colour of Listone Giordano -, in Grisaille Oak and in Ash with Graphit finish.
The latter is part of the Circular, which applies the principles of the circular economy to wood: the surface incorporates recycled graphite powders (upgraded recycled graphite) from industrial waste, transforming them into an innovative material solution with high aesthetic and sustainable value.
With Nui, Listone Giordano and Piero Lissoni sign a collection that combines memory, nature and contemporary design, confirming wood as the protagonist of a timeless tale, capable of combining tradition and future vision.
