La Carpet Edition Roquebrune collection recalls the town of the same name on the Côte d'Azur, from the belle époque, interesting hothouse of architectural works and personalities of contemporary culture. Carpets unconventional shapes, ideal for the bedroom and living area, versatile and with an interplay of colours and geometries, capable of reinterpreting motifs and colours from the classical tradition in a riot of lines and shapes that are as rigorous as they are surprising.
The signature is by the designer Michela Alquati and architect Sebastian CorsoThey created works, each with a specific design, in 5 colour variants, which can be customised according to taste.
Geometric interlacingirregular perimeters, the carpets are striking with their rounded shapes and the nuances in the pattern lines. Not forgetting the quality and technique of workmanship, which demonstrate the long craft tradition of Carpet Edition. All made in New Zeland Wool and Tencel with the hand tafting technique, the design is transferred onto a vertical cloth and here, slowly, the yarn is inserted using a textile gun. Then, once removed from the loom, the carpet is washed, finished with a cotton fabric glued on the back and finally, after being freed of excess fibres, it is edged.
