A project that has resulted in a unique and inimitable cake.
From the combination of architecture and high patisserie comes to life 'Sciara"a gold foil and dark chocolate praline, architectural design and explosion of taste unique in its kind. A project born thanks to the collaboration between Davide Comaschi, director of the Chocolate Academy Centre by Milan and thearchitect Giuseppe Tortato.
A heralded success, as confirmed by the Salone del Mobile 2018, an event during which Sciara, thanks to the support of a completely different sector, was able to enter a double field: the
of the most sought-after confectionery and that of design excellence.
It is through painstaking study and interaction between minds with different skills that contamination is achieved.
(in the most positive sense of the word) of styles, arts and disciplines.
A way of always being innovative without ever neglecting the quality of individual products. The Sciara praline,
in fact, it is characterised by its simple, almost pure lines, which give the filling a harmonious volume
and would tempt anyone to indulge in the high quality of dark chocolate.
Described as a perfect, precious and refined cake, its interior is silky and enveloping, and at the same time it almost exudes a light of its own. The gold foil, in fact, contrasts and breaks through the black, aromatic heart of the fine dark chocolate. Hence the term Sciara, of Sicilian-Arabic dialectal origin, indicating the place where a lava flow solidified after the eruption of a volcano. Incandescent outside and soft inside.
"All my creations," explains maître chocolatier Davide Comaschi, "are born to make those who dream of them.
will taste. Whether it is pralines, traditional cakes or flat cakes, I have always tried to create synaesthetic tasting experiences, capable of involving sight, taste and smell. Sciara fits perfectly within this philosophy of mine: a praline that, to the eye, is
clearly visible the three different ingredients that compose it, but which, on impact with the palate, come together, creating a new, unique flavour'. Sciara's design fully reflects the philosophy that has always accompanied the work of architect Giuseppe Tortato, who explains that "it must be the senses that lead people to discover and get to know the designed spaces; all the more so in the case of an 'object of pleasure' such as a praline of
chocolate; it is the strong sense for perfect form and impeccable taste that lead us to discover Sciara'.
