Sneakered

Helping to spread awareness and appreciation for products of the past through everyday accessories: this is the aim of the collection Sneakered by Gianluca Giminiwho created some very special trainers.

The starting idea was to increase the popularity of historical products, such as aftershave Proraso or coffee Paulistaamong young people - who often know these products from the past superficially or not at all. But here, from a simple idea, beautiful trainers have been created that echo the colours and structure of vanillin Angels' Bread or lacquer Splend'Or.

Shoes inspired by brand models that already have a large market - such as Adidas, Lacoste, Nike, Puma, Reebok and others. Many have the classic ankle boot design with laces and cushioned training soles, or flat like the most popular models of Converse. Others, on the other hand, are really special, such as the shoes that pay homage to aftershave Floidequipped with a pump designed to be inserted into the cuff of trousers.

SneakeredThe question that arises is whether these trainers can really be marketed. The designer of these particular sneakers said in a recent interview that he had been contacted 'by a world-leading trainer company, by the sales department of one of the brands he has given away, and by a German entrepreneur'. Apparently, the possibilities of developing this project on the national and international market would be concrete, although it would certainly be complex to get the different copyright owners to agree.

The project remains ambitious, realising a perfect marriage between the love of classic design and that of sneakers: consumers of old-fashioned products or fans of gritty and bizarre trainers will certainly appreciate these creations.

Treasuring the past also means being able to bring it back to life, and the creation of these shoes is proof that this is possible.
