That of the nautics is a booming sector, especially in the wake of the recent health emergency that affected us. Social distancing is now part of our
everyday life and, as one could imagine, it has influenced our habits and also our way of thinking about the future.
With summer now underway and the holidays just around the corner, it is easy to imagine that the ideal way to escape the city is to relax in total security but winking at the design which not only adapts but becomes the protagonist of these architectures among the waves.
From the furniture to the upholstery to the accessories, the world's best yachts choose top design to lend elegance to these mobile homes that are no less than a villa.
TALENTED OUTDOOR LIVING
Talenti entered port and boarded the luxury boats, who have gradually cast off the moorings from tradition, favouring the entry of the brand that is able to create an ideal continuity between house and yacht. It's a growing business for Talenti, which started out large but is also finding increasing use in smaller boats. From Azimut to Benetti, from V Marine to Sanlorenzo Yachts, via Ferretti Group, Canados, Weider and CRN Navi, there are many examples. The latest, in order of time, is the collaboration with Baglietto for the new 48 T-Line, Silver Fox. The Talenti furnishings found space in the luxurious sundeck, which also houses an infinity pool, the dining area and the large beach club at the water's edge of this new 48-metre wonder from Baglietto.
Among the collections selected for this floating aesthetic paradise, masterpieces such as Casilda and Cleo, designed by Ramòn Esteve and Marco Acerbis respectively, undoubtedly stand out, confirming that design cannot be trapped within rigid walls.
With this project, Talenti confirms its rise to the Olympus of world design, a further step in an expansion strategy that will see its consecration in the inauguration of a new, futuristic production site by the end of the year.
GIORDANO AND OLIVARI PLANKING
The ability to open up to new suggestions while remaining faithful to one's heritage, the courage to dare to push beyond one's limits to imagine innovative solutions, have led Listone Giordano, a reference brand in the high-end parquet sector, and Sanlorenzo to launch a new prestigious collaboration, this time involving one of the sacred monsters of world design. Sanlorenzo has in fact entrusted Patricia Urquiola with the interior design of the new yacht SD96 officially presented at the Cannes Yachting Festival 2019.
First in their own sphere, Sanlorenzo has then involved authoritative names such as Dordoni Architetti, Antonio Citterio Patricia Viel and Piero Lissoni (Art Director of the company since 2018) in the yacht interior projects, thanks to which it has introduced new visions that have allowed it to reinterpret the concept of space on board, Sanlorenzo's true atout, through innovations and unprecedented stylistic features. Among the world's leading shipyards in the production of yachts and superyachtWith the SD96, Sanlorenzo thus develops a new project, the result of continuous research and attention to the needs of liveability on board. SD96 is the entry level of the historic Sanlorenzo's SD semi-displacement yacht linea 28-metre long model that will replace the SD92, a successful product of the shipyard launched in 2007 with no less than 27 units sold, showing its natural evolution while maintaining the stylistic coherence that has always distinguished the shipyard. Even the handles are strongly design and designed by Patricia for Olivari. This is Conca, also designed by Urquiola, an important handle, with character, but at the same time light: to caress, rather than to grip.
G.T.DESIGN
G.T.Design, a pioneering Italian contemporary carpet brand, has several collaborations in the nautical sector to its credit, from San Lorenzo to AdmiralTecnomar Group. The most popular collections for this specific area are Passo Doppio, Intouch and Textures Millerighe, as well as the timeless Kama, produced since 2001 and entering the history of design, associated more and more often with master pieces, thanks to its full and vibrant colour palette. Kama, also used in an interior design project for Ferretti Yatchs, captures light and lets it float from its textures. Soft to the touch, brilliant to the eye, the hand-woven viscose fibre is both sumptuous and wild. Alongside Kama Original, also available are Kama Ambientassociated with the best-known international furniture brands and Kama Beadsthe natural evolution of this historical weaving by G.T.Design. The hand-woven Bouclè weave makes the surface of these carpets even richer, vibrating like bright sand in the sunlight. A brilliant and vivid surface in the environment that no one has yet been able to imitate. Form and light in space.
FIR ITALY
It is now well established that the'interior design Made in Italy has also conquered nautical design to the point of changing its aesthetic codes, which today are increasingly less linked to the marine world and more metropolitan and contemporary. Even in the nautical world, more and more attention and consideration are being paid to the choice of accessories and the care of interior design projects: the on-board atmospheres of the yacht change and adapt with an elegant and metropolitan contemporary imagination. Fir's philosophy is based on the idea that a correct and functional design of tapware can take into account multiple aspects, from new aesthetic canons, to the needs of the environment and the safeguarding of primary resources, all starting with saving on water consumption, of course. For almost a year now, Fir Italia has been engaged in an important rebranding activity that is animating the company, with the aim of strengthening its market positioning.
Thus a new payoff 'Obsessive Design Engineering or the DNA of Fir Italia. The brand's soul, in fact, is made up of the perfectionism and obsessive approach behind the creation of its products, including the latest big news, the Green Total LookIt is characterised by the use of environmentally friendly materials, first and foremost AISI316L stainless steel, energy-saving solutions and an ultra-minimalist new-generation design. Fir Italy chose stainless steel AISI316L because it is the best in terms of corrosion resistance. This precious material is characterised by very high strength and durability; it is highly eco-friendly and can therefore be 100% recycled; it is extremely easy to clean and last but not least has a high hygiene coefficient. For these reasons, products made of this material are ideal for use,
as well as in domestic bathrooms and shower areas, also in wellness areas, spas, marine and spa areas and highly acidic environments. AISI316L stainless steel is compatible with the demand for high resistance to atmospheric agents and saltiness and is therefore particularly used in the nautical sector and in interior design of boats and yachts.
The new revolutionary programme Green Total Look leads FIR Italy to expand its already wide offer with a totally 'green' tapware collection. Green Total Look is based on three important assets: all the materials used are eco-friendly; in fact, the faucets are made entirely of AISI 316L stainless steel and the related built-in parts - which are part of the FirUnico® universal system - have an internal core of zero-lead ADZ brass. The solutions are 'Energy Saving' and the washbasin mixers are water-saving, equipped as standard with water jet flow reducers at 5 l/m, while the shower heads are engineered to operate with just 9 l/m. This translates into an approximately 50% reduction in water consumption in the bathroom!
