ARAN World for Vandewater.

We are in the heart of Morningside Heights, one of New York's most 'academic' neighbourhoods. The address is 543 West 122nd Street, at the geographical point most upper Manhattanwith an extraordinary view of the Hudson River, the Columbia University and on the Riverside Church. Here, the American firm INC Architecture & Design chose to build the Vandewatera residential skyscraper combining neo-Gothic architecture, art deco and contemporary design.

The building is characterised by the balance between architectural styles different: on the one hand it suffers of Gothic influence which identifies certain historical buildings, typical of the district, on the other hand is sensitive to a more contemporary taste, which pervades above all the furnishing choices. I luxurious flatsfinished with marble, wood and fine ceilings, suggest a rigorous style, enhanced precisely by the choice of materials.
Developed on 33 floors, with a total of 183 flats, in each of these the kitchens and bathroom fittings were supplied respectively by ARAN Kitchens and Bathroom Collectionmade exclusively to design and with great customisation possibilities, with oak wood, offered in light or dark versions. Demonstrating how the Abruzzo brand is now an ambassador of Italian 'savoir-faire' throughout the world. Original and versatile collections distinguish the project, which shows great concern for environmental protection, with sustainability goals developed through structural and social solutions. Such as the large windows, which allow as much natural light as possible, the very light roof covering, which helps to reduce the heat island effect, and the concrete used, composed of a high percentage of recycled content.
The taps present are also low-flow, reducing water consumption by 38.45% while an ad hoc management and recycling plan was implemented to dispose of construction waste.
For condominiums, it is possible to access a ridesharing board to share the commute, affecting less traffic and urban pollution, and can count on a cleaning programme using only non-toxic and eco-friendly products. Taking care of the garden and terraces was the landscape architect Michael Van Valkenburgincluding a high-efficiency irrigation system and, above all, creating green oases that add to the building's many amenities: concierge service, rooms dedicated to parties and music rehearsals, study rooms, playrooms, swimming pools, gyms, wellness centres and pet spas.
