Vetreria artistica Busato

From classic to new modern, the Busato Artistic Glassworks has achieved with the collections Impressionism e Flowers of light a revisitation of the ancient techniques of working of Murano glass.

History of Busato Artistic Glassworks

Founded in 1994 by Maestro Gino Busato, the glassworks has more than 70 years' experience in working with the finest glass, with the business carried on first by the founder himself, then by his children Marco and Michela.

"My mission is to preserve the ancient craft handed down to me by my father: to blow Murano glass by bringing the works up to date so that the tradition of Murano can live on in the present".

Marco Busato

Glass is processed using techniques that are no longer in common use due to the excessive complexity of manufacture: it is first melted inside a cruciblethen taken from the oven by means of a long iron tube, the cane. At this point the Master blows inside the barrel to mould the drop of glassand make it take the desired shape before it solidifies.

The end result leaves you speechless: thin layers of glass give a nuanced effect that makes the elements coming out of the glassworks unique.

The line Impressionism is inspired by the painting of the great masters: with 24 halogen lights inside the petals of the flower, Iris Van Gogh allows even with the lights off to enjoy the beauty of a chandelier that transforms into a large floral bouquet.

Among the latest proposals in the collection Flowers of lightthe chandelier Cyclamenwhich faithfully reproduces the flowers of the undergrowth with a freshness that makes them almost identical to the real thing.
The ceiling light Roseto is composed finally of a hundred handmade buds, entirely illuminated with LED strips that release a soft light, fully dimmable. It has a diameter of 100 cm and a thickness of 40 cm.
