Noiseless and environmentally friendly sailing: the new luxury mega yacht with hybrid propulsion by Heesen Yachts, Project Novawhose first specimen was christened the Home by its owner. The world of luxury yachting is becoming more and more comfortable, efficient and environmentally friendly, introducing incredibly quiet sailing: every design aspect has been aimed at this goal, leading to the birth of the new masterpiece from the Dutch shipyards.
Hybrid-powered yachts
At 50 metres long, Home is a fast displacementthe first of a new generation signed Hesen Yachtsequipped with a hybrid propulsion system, with mechanical diesel and diesel electric power sources. Each source can be used independently or in combination with the other, depending on the requirements for noise reduction and flexible management of consumption and power output.
The main feature of Home lies in the noticeable reduction in noise and vibrations, without losing sight of the extraordinary efficiency of a luxury yacht capable of sailing at 9 knots in complete silence, thanks to its two water-cooled electric motors of 127 kW each.
With a range of almost 4,000 nautical miles (travelling at 12 knots) and a top speed of 16.3 knots, Home is an environmentally friendly yacht, equipped with solar panels for on-board energy needs. The Dutch studio Omega Architects designed the exterior, characterised by a vertical bow, a large central staircase in the stern and extensive use of glass.
Very bright, with floor-to-ceiling windows, home features five luxurious cabins, two doubles, two twins and a VIP. A jewel of the sea that respects the environment, relaxes, is quiet and has already won over many. The interiors, in an elegant minimalist style, are by Italian designer Cristiano Gattowith the two predominant colours of white and red in different shades. The contrast between the pure white of the fabrics, leather and lacquered surfaces with the warm tones of the wood contributes to recreating sophisticated and sophisticated atmospheres.
The furniture used to decorate the spaces has been carefully selected piece by piece: designer outdoor furniture pieces Paola Lenti dominate the decks and sky lounge, while a stunning contemporary steel sofa by Franco Poli takes centre stage in the main hall. Dining tables and bar counters were custom-designed by Cristiano Gatto and made by the finest craftsmen in the Interior Division of Hesen Yacht.
The owner's quarters are located at the front of the main deck. It includes a private study, a large bathroom with shower cubicle and bedrooms with floor-to-ceiling windows that give a wonderful feeling of en plein air.
Guests find accommodation in five luxurious rooms on the lower deck: two doubles, two twins and a VIP suite with floor-to-ceiling windows.
The wellness area, which includes a gymnasium and spa, is located on the lower aft platform, adjacent to the engine room and with convenient direct access to the main aft deck via an internal staircase.
